Things people often ask us

Who is Tessera Works for?
We work primarily with established SMEs in Malaysia — organisations with between 20 and 200 staff who have been operating for several years and are beginning to feel the limits of their current tools or processes. We are not suited to very early-stage startups or to organisations that need rapid implementation support.
Do you recommend specific software products?
In our Technology Selection Advisory service, we do produce a shortlist of products worth considering. However, we hold no reseller relationships and receive no commission from vendors. Our shortlists are based on what appears to fit your stated requirements — not on what benefits us commercially.
How long do engagements typically take?
The Digital Readiness Review and Technology Selection Advisory typically run between four and eight weeks, depending on the size of your organisation and the complexity of the systems involved. The Digital Practice Workshop is usually completed within two to three weeks once scheduling is confirmed.
What happens after the engagement ends?
You receive a written deliverable appropriate to the service — a review report, a shortlist with commentary, or a workshop summary. We are available for a follow-up conversation to clarify any points. Beyond that, implementation is entirely at your discretion; we do not presume to manage or direct what happens next.
Do you work with organisations outside Kuala Lumpur?
Yes, though most of our in-person work is centred in the Klang Valley. For clients in Penang, Johor, or elsewhere in Malaysia, we are open to a mix of remote sessions and periodic on-site visits, depending on what the engagement requires.
Is the pricing fixed or does it vary?
The prices shown reflect our standard scope for each engagement. For larger organisations or for work that clearly falls outside the standard scope, we are happy to discuss a tailored arrangement. We aim to be transparent about pricing from the outset of any conversation.
